The factory mount-location for the PMD (pump mounted driver) is on the side of the fuel injection pump. This location does not adequately remove heat from the PMD, resulting in a constant high temperature condition. Testing has shown that PMD performance begins to degrade when operating temperature exceeds 150*F and complete failure is imminent.
The PMD Isolator system features a new PMD module, mounted onto our Isolator plate and is mounted completely outside the engine compartment. This keeps the PMD quite cool for premium performance and very long service life.
The PMD Isolator system is warranted for 7-years. This is a very important upgrade!
