I have had my 6.5TD since June of '96. The first Injection Pump was change out by GM on their dime at about 28K miles. Then after about 100,000 miles on that pump I had the classic. PMD failure start, I bought one of the Original intake mount Coolers that had all this great research and testing from Sweden done. Well 30,000 miles later PMD/FSD started failing. I had on line heated discussion with the Swedish Engineer of the "cooler". I told him his mounting location was inferior too the factory pump mount, and the ONLY advantage to his product was it made easy change out of a $300 part. He got upset and has not been seen on that Diesel site since. I replaced the "Cooler" with Heaths Isolator product. I have had that on my truck now over 50,000 miles and almost 3 years and not a problem. I figure with the 7 year free replacement part warranty this is the best backed PMD/FSD kit out there. Thanks Mr. Heath for standing behind your product so well, other vendors should take a few lessons from Heath Diesel.

Between your information over the phone, my 96 plow truck is now a dependable rig. worth every dime.

I want to thank the team at Heath Diesel for helping me resolve the problem and/or issue pertaining to my 1995 Chevy Truck / 1500 diesel. All your help was greatly appreciated. Installing this product was easy and only took me 10 minutes to install. My wife thinks I am weird. It takes me 10 minutes to install the kit on my truck and takes me 2 hours to type this little letter.

If you remember, we had an email conversation about my 1994 Chevy 6.5 that resulted in me ordering a PMD Isolator kit from you guys (thanks again to Ian, who was very helpful).

I got the part 6 days later. I was extremely busy at the time, so I tossed it in the truck, figuring I'd get some time to install it in the next few days. HA! The opportunity came about three days later, when the friggin truck died on me in a parking lot in the rain! (it just figures, right?)

The good news: it only took 20 soggy minutes to install, and the truck has been amazing ever since... no burps, no hiccups, no refusing to start, I'm getting 2 mpg better, and I think I have some extra horsepower there, too!

FYI - in case you have other Canadian customers with the same question I had, it works out to about $650 Canadian (and 20 minutes in the rain) for the whole thing. Considering my Chevy dealer was quoting me $900 CDN to install a new PMD in the same spot (in the Valley of Electronics Death) with no warranty on the PMD, your solution is both cheaper and better.

Thanks for the new truck! I'll be contacting you in the spring to order a Turbo-master and Chip combo, and maybe the new Dmax fan/clutch you recommended. I will also try to take apart the radiators and clean them out like you recommended, sometime over the winter. I'm looking forward to pulling my 5th wheel next summer with a MUCH better truck!

After chocking on an estimate of $2300 from the dealer to replace the fuel injection pump, my dad did some quick research and happened upon the Heath Diesel web site. After a brief search of the above mentioned parts, he called the toll free number and spoke with Ian. After explaining the symptoms, Ian said it was a classic example of the PMD Isolator. Suggesting the PMD with the relocating, cooling kit, my dad bought it.

For replacing the PMD Isolator on a Savana, the kit was a god send. My dad and I were able to hook the new isolator up without removing the old one, ran the supplied six foot wire harness back toward the transmission over to the frame and mounted it on the outside behind the drivers door and in front of the battery.

Since the frame is box, we drilled and tapped two 5/16-24 (fine thread) holes and purchase a couple of grade 8 bolts and secured it to the frame. It has been well over a month now and no problems. Thanks for you help Ian at Heath Diesel.
