It is no secret that the factory vacume boost control system on the '94-'95 6.5 is a goofy setup. This system is created to modulate the vacume signal to the waste gate canister in order to limit and control boost output pressure. The alternate application and release of the vacume causes turbine inlet pressure to fluctuate which speeds then slows the turbocharger and results in a boost pressure which continually rises and falls. The system is powered by a costly, belt driven vacume pump that is prone to failure. What a mess.

The factory control used on the '92-'93 6.5's is a spring-loaded canister. It does not use vacume like the '94-newer engines. This factory controller typically operates the turbo to 3-5 psi and is not adjustable.

Our Turbo-Master waste gate controller is created as a direct, bolt on replacement for the factory vacume canister. In combination with the factory waste gate valve, the Turbo-Master forms a fully adjustable, turbine inlet-pressure (drive pressure) relief system. With the Turbo-Master, turbine inlet pressure is retained up to the preset point of bypass. This results in turbocharger performance that is increased across the design operational range. Even on an otherwise stock 6.5, engine performance is increased by virtue of the resultant steady boost pressure. Combine the Turbo-Master with our Max-E-Tork e-prom in the '94-'95 6.5 for outstanding performance.

This upgrade is vital to quick-time performance. An immediate change will be noticeable. Ask if you can take the springtips down to 1-3/4 inches.

Installed in about 30 minutes. Good instructions and good pictures. Has increased the feel and sound of the turbo and feels very solid going down the road in my 250,000 mile truck. Great customer service and technical advice on upgrading the old vacuum system. Thanks Guys!

Awsome product!!!! My check engine light has been on for the past year with a MAP fault that only went out when I kicked it down, over drive always dropped out on hills and belched black smoke when kickin her down. Only took about 20 miniutes to put in and truck works like a dream now. cured all problems. And when the owner of the company asks you to call him directly to ensure your getting the right product is a great touch you dont see every day. thanks Bill :) Looking fwd to changing the Eprom soon!!
